Day 15 - Chester UMC

Stafford is beautiful area and some of us were lucky enough to wake up surrounded by God's stunning creation.  Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment.

Everyone had breakfast with their host families and then reported back to the church.  Our schedule was a little more relaxed today so there was some time to play a little kickball in the meantime.

Soon the pre-school needed to use the gym so we moved over to the chapel for our morning devotions.  Jim led us in some music that got us excited about the day and then Chad continued with an inspiring devotional.

After the devotion, everyone piled on the bus as we headed to Richmond for a little museum sight seeing.  Some used the time on the bus to get a little extra sleep.

Once we arrived at the museums, we gave the group two hours to see the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and the Virginia Historical Society building.  Both buildings had a wealth of information and artwork.  Everyone seemed to find something that peeked their interest.

Some people also had the opportunity to enjoy the flowers and other buildings in the area.

Once everyone returned from their afternoon adventures, we got back into the bus and traveled to Chester UMC.

We gathered into the sanctuary for rehearsal and made sure everything was ready for the evening's performance.

Afterward, we all went to the fellowship hall for dinner of subs, chips, and homemade desserts.  Everyone finished their meals and then changed for the concert before meeting in the choir room for our pre-concert devotions led by Alexis' family group.

We headed out for the concert and were greeted by a great crowd that had come over from the Chester UMC Wednesday night fellowship dinners.  The service went well with testimonies from Kimberly and Neal.

Everyone was paired with their host families and then we were off to their houses for another adventure.
